I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to write about for this
response. I went to the Wexner building on Friday the 8th at around 2:30pm. The
first "Piece" I visited was the video about the clocks. It was
interesting to say the least. It seemed like it was just a strand of videos and
every once in a while they would show a small clip from a movie that had a
clock in it. I understand that those clocks were there because they showed the
exact time of day it was while I was watching, I just didn't understand the
parts of the films that were in between these instances. More importantly I
don't understand the process behind the art work. Did the artist simply go
through movies and shows until he or she found a part where there was a clock?
Also, is there any meaning behind the clips that weren't related to time?
Anyway, the piece I enjoyed the most was the
panoramic picture. Or at least it looks like one long picture when in fact it
was dozens of pictures taken side by side with little overlap areas. However,
when I first looked at this piece I didn't notice that right away. It almost
reminds me of nipple Jesus; where it looks one way at first glance, but when
you take a closer look it’s not what you expected.
